Some days ago, at 8.50 pm, an Alitalia ATR-72 operated from Carpatair (Romania) crashed during landing at Rome "Leonardo Da Vinci" airport. It was a full Alitalia livery ATR-72 but with Carpatair reg. and crew. Alitalia has a partnership with Carpatair, but this airline had many other problems of maintenance of its airplanes in the past. This time the wind was from 250° 25 knots, but it seems there was a gust of lateral wind from the sea with a kind of windshear and the pilot lost control. The airplane bounced two times on the runway finishing its run on the grass. Fortunately there were no deaths but only injuries.
